This channel was created to share our piece of almost heaven and all the experiences that we have as we take care of our guests at Laurel River Club Bed & Breakfast.
Step into a Robert Frost poem combined with a state-of-the-art sustainable farm that also happens to be a beautiful B&B. Marsha and her family were immensely welcoming and accommodating, and it was an absolute honor to get a glimpse into their inspiring lifestyle. Only a 20 min drive from White Grass Ski Area, we were able to traverse the snow-covered roads just fine with our Forerunner. The wifi worked well for us, our room was perfectly comfortable, and Marsha provided anything we needed (and generously made us breakfast). I cannot wait to stay with her and her family again at this one-of-a-kind destination! ~ Samantha
This is a very special place. This idyllic working farm is nestled by the Dry Fork River in the valley between two incredible mountain ranges so no matter where you look, you'll find magical views. The second you walk in, Marsha makes you feel right at home and part of her wonderful family. The charming 120-year-old house is beautifully maintained and has a lovely homey feeling. You will love the delicious fresh and healthy homemade breakfasts and dinners. It is also an animal lover's paradise - inside, the family's large friendly dog and three cats are there to give you company and love to be petted, with kitties purring and jumping on your lap. Outside, there are pigs (with piglets), sheep, chickens, bunnies, and horses. Marsha's son Collin - the master class falconer, is happy to show you his magnificent birds of prey and the ways he trains them. If you enjoy nature and animals, this is the place for you! ~Melli
One of the best places I've stayed and one of my favorite trips to add to the memories. This secluded farm was so peaceful - I was able to finally disconnect, enjoy the moments, and slept amazing. My husband and I loved walking the farm and seeing all of the animals, relaxing in the hammock by the river, and getting to know Marsha and her family. Marsha, her husband, and her awesome kids make you feel right at home and part of the family. One of our favorite parts was playing a board game one evening with Josie! Perfect location to make trips to Blackwater Falls, Spruce Knob & Seneca Rock, Canaan Valley, or exploring the cute little towns of Thomas and Davis. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in the area - we will definitely be back! ~ Lindsay

This was an unexpected treat. I was able to get away and spend time in the nature, staying in a farm with friendly dogs , curious cats, all while being treated like family with home cooked healthy food and sharing stories ... Marsha, Kendall and the kids were delightful and warm.. And am grateful for their generous and gracious hospitality. Feel recharged. ~ Madhavi
Guest Review: My kids and I spent a magical night under the stars in the dome! We got to walk around the property checking out the many animals, stream, and beautiful landscape before retiring to the dome for games! I was a little worried about the weather forecast bc it was supposed to be cold and rain overnight, but Marsha’s husband already had a nice fire waiting for us and the dome was plenty warm and dry!! Marsha made us a lovely breakfast in the morning before we we departed and made sure I had printed instructions in case we hit a bad cell spot along the way. We plan to visit again!! My daughter said this was her best adventure yet! Seneca rocks and black water falls both within about 30 mins! ~ Brooke
I have traveled here three times for different get-aways. This BnB is my go to for rest and relaxation. Marsha is a gracious host and her family is delightful. The house and property is gorgeous and, best of all, it is a working farm. There is always plenty to going on. From milking cows to Falconer demonstration, this place has something for everyone! ~ Tracy
It’s my favorite B&B ever. Gorgeous location—secluded and quiet, perfect for a long weekend writing retreat. I felt like I was Anne of Green Gables. Marsha and her family are friendly and hospitable. Food is delicious (breakfast and dinner!) and filling. If you’re used to fast internet and solid cell network, be prepared. I didn’t have any network availability and could manage logging on to wifi for a limited search here and there—perfect for a getaway and disconnect to write! I just planned ahead and downloaded/printed my writing materials ahead of time. The desk and chair was the *perfect* workspace. Thank you for a fantastic stay. I can’t wait to come back with spouse and kiddo to enjoy the farm and river beach more. ~ Rachel
The home is absolutely charming. Built in 1905, it has a victorian, farmhouse vibe. It is warm, quaint, and comfortable. The host family is wonderful. We played board games with them and some of the other guests the first night. The next morning we woke to a wonderful breakfast and then was treated to a tour of the grounds. They have chickens, pigs, horses, mules, dogs, and cats. The river that runs alongside the estate is absolutely beautiful. There are also some remnants from the past as the estate used to be a logging town with over 800 residents and 300 structures. Later that afternoon, we went on a squirrel hunting excursion with one of the best Falconers in the state and his Red-Tailed Halk. It was amazing! ~ Curtis
Our name is Laurel River Club Bed & Breakfast, but our signs all use the abbreviated version LRCB&B with a picture of the house.
Our mailing address is Bowden, WV but our physical location is Jenningston, WV. (It's a country thing!) Use Google Maps and type in LRCB&B for the best directions. You will lose cell service along the way.
We actually claim both Tucker and Randolph Counties because the county line runs right through the properties we farm.
